At the place called « Le Temps Perdu », opposite « Le Relais Picard » café, is a small path lined with houses that has grown over the years, called « Chemin des Casernes ».
The reason for this is as follows:
During the Napoleon era, the invaders were always on the lookout. The coast was therefore guarded by customs officers. They lived in the three houses that look alike, which can be seen in the Chemin des Casernes. These houses were the customs officers’ barracks. This is the reason for the name given to this path.
On the edge of the cliff, up to where the territory of the municipality of Saint Quentin Lamotte expands to, there used to be a path called « chemin des douaniers ».
